WHY DO bilingual classes?
Scientific research has proven that our little ones’ brains create the most neural pathways from 0-3 years old. As educators and early childhood advocates, we wholeheartedly believe that children learn best through exploration and play.
With English and Mandarin being the world’s top two most widely spoken languages, Casita now offers our Playgroup Programme in these two languages. The earlier children are exposed to a language, the easier and faster they can pick it up. Through our playgroup classes, we hope to support young children’s English and Mandarin skills through play, exploration, routine, consistency, and frequency.

Casita specifically enriches children’s receptive vocabulary by allowing them to learn through exposure to group singing, echo and response songs, songs with definite and clear verbal instructions, and movement coupled with appropriate verbs.
We also have Circle Time, storytelling and sensory exploration so they can deepen and visualize their understanding of the language.
We believe that learning a new language in the context of play and music is a powerful combination so young children can speedily absorb sounds, structures, intonations, patterns and linguistic rules a lot more easily.

The Casita bilingual classes use approximately 90% Mandarin and 10% English to teach little ones.
It will be a 60-minute accompanied class that will combine the music and movement, arts and crafts, sensory exploration and circle time.
Children will be more immersed in the usage of Mandarin while caregivers are also guided by the usage of English in class so they can support their children and learn alongside them as well.
The bilingual classes follow the format of our well-loved Playgroup Program - music and movement with Zumbini, sensory exploration and play, and practical life and school skills peppered throughout the class.
Casita雙語課程的語言使用比例為90%普通話和10%英語。
在這長達60分鐘的課程裏，包含了圓圈團體時間、音樂唱遊、舞蹈、手工藝術及感官探索等活動。
課程適合不同普通話程度的小孩參與，而照顧者不僅能在課堂上接受英語指導來輔助孩子，還能與他們一起學習。
